Job Description

Cirrus Logic seeks a Power Field Applications Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing DC/DC converters or mixed-signal ICs for portable electronics. You'll support Tier 1 accounts globally, possess deep knowledge of laptop/desktop power architecture, and be proficient in power measurement tools and PCB bench testing. Familiarity with tools, firmware, algorithms, and micro-controller coding is essential.

Responsibilities

BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in defining, architecting or designing DC/DC converters or mixed-signal integrated circuits for portable electronics products such as laptops, Tablets, smartphones, battery chargers, etc.
Able to support customers at Tier 1 major accounts in Taiwan and globally
In-depth understanding of laptop and desktop power architecture and track record of supporting power parts for PC projects.
Able to communicate between customers and Cirrus headquarters.
Familiar with power measurement tools and capable of conducting bench tests in customer PCBs.
Knowledge of tools, firmware, algorithms, and micro-controller coding
Support customers’ design, including device recommendation, schematic review circuit debugging

Required Skills and Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in defining, architecting or designing DC/DC converters or mixed-signal integrated circuits for portable electronics products such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, battery chargers, etc.
Able to support customers at Tier 1 major accounts in the US and globally
Knowledge of tools, firmware, algorithms, and micro-controller coding
Support customers’ design, including device recommendation, schematic review circuit debugging
