Summary

This Senior Regulatory Business Analyst role supports and manages regulatory changes and the implementation of new jurisdictions on Axiom for a well-established APAC bank. Responsibilities include analyzing regulatory reporting guidelines, eliciting business requirements, performing data mapping, managing project scope, conducting functional testing and UAT support, resolving functional and technical issues, providing input to technical design decisions, and communicating with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience, including 4+ years in Axiom, and familiarity with APRA, MAS, COREP, FINREP, Basel, LCR, and NSFR reports. Strong analytical, communication, and Agile skills are essential.

Project description

Client is one of the well-established banks in APAC. They are committed to building and maintaining world-class IT applications and infrastructure.
They are currently looking for a business analyst who can support and manage regulatory changes as well as implementation of new jurisdictions on Axiom.

Responsibilities

Analyse regulatory reporting guidelines and reporting templates to understand what is expected by regulator

Elicit business requirements from business users and capture it in BRD, FSD

Perform data mapping analysis to understand the availability and quality of data.

Manage project scope and requirements throughout the project lifecycle;

Perform functional testing before start of UAT

Provide UAT support, analyse and resolve issues identified during user testing

Resolve functional and technical issues related to business applications.

Provide input to technical design decisions and business application strategy.

Establish and maintain communication with IT and Business Stakeholders, ensure regulatory reporting requirements are properly addressed on all levels of system and procedural changes

Skills

Must have

Overall 10+ years of experience out of which 4 years

in Axiom

Exposure to APRA , MAS, COREP, FINREP, Basel, LCR, NSFR reports

Prior experience with taxonomy

Equipped with the technical expertise to help client address challenges in implementation (driven based on good understanding of regulatory, regulatory guidance, integrating new returns and products form internal systems to third party Reg service providers (abacus, adenza etc))

Extensive experience working in Agile environment with ability to adapt quickly and work under pressure

Ability to drive results keeping the long-term strategy as the focus.

Ability to think strategically, see the big picture and quickly grasp complex dependencies

Ability to focus on continuous improvement, cascading the values to the team

Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience

Strong facilitation skills, presenting technical information to diverse non‐technical stakeholders and engaging with senior executives.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships at every level of the organisation

Ability to build, motivate and grow effective teams
