Job Summary

SoftwareOne and Crayon have merged to become a global, AI-powered provider of software and cloud solutions. This Sales Consultant role for Microsoft Services involves leading complex deals from qualification to closing, developing commercially attractive offers, and managing the sales process. The consultant will build and maintain a strong network, identify new business opportunities, and drive competitive pricing strategies. They will also manage presales activities, develop value propositions, and contribute to the evolution of the Microsoft Services portfolio, leveraging partnerships with Microsoft and strategic partners.

Must Have

  • Take primary responsibility for shaping and closing complex deals.
  • Develop commercially attractive offers and manage the sales process.
  • Build and maintain a strong network with customers, partners, and internally.
  • Conduct stakeholder and market mapping.
  • Develop competitive pricing strategies and ensure offers meet "Price-to-Win" approach.
  • Identify service opportunities and develop convincing Value Propositions.
  • Present offers and services in customer meetings, RFP processes, and workshops.
  • Monitor market trends and customer requirements for Microsoft Services portfolio development (Azure, M365, Security, AI).
  • Utilize network with Microsoft and strategic partners for market positioning and deal generation.
  • Confidently manage the sales cycle and build trusting relationships.
  • Possess strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
  • Understand Microsoft Cloud Services (Azure, M365, Security, AI) and present their business value.
  • Have experience with customers from the public sector, SMEs, and large enterprises.
  • Communicate fluently in German and English for negotiations.

Responsibilities

Deal Shaping & Sales Leadership

  • You take primary responsibility for shaping and closing complex deals – from qualification to closing.
  • You develop commercially attractive offers and manage the entire sales process in close coordination with Delivery and Enterprise Architects.

Networking & Market Positioning

  • You build and maintain a strong network with customers, partners, and within the company to identify new business opportunities and market deals internally.
  • You conduct stakeholder and market mapping to strategically leverage decision structures and market potential.

Price-to-Win & Offer Strategy

  • You develop competitive pricing strategies and ensure that our offers meet the "Price-to-Win" approach.
  • You contribute your expertise to offer design without designing technical solutions yourself – for this, you work closely with Solution Architects and Delivery teams.

Presales & Opportunity Management

  • You identify service opportunities and develop convincing Value Propositions with a clear business focus.
  • You present our offers and services in customer meetings, RFP processes, and workshops – with support from technical experts.

Portfolio Management

  • You monitor market trends and customer requirements and derive impulses for the further development of our Microsoft Services portfolio (Azure, M365, Security, AI).
  • You ensure that our portfolio is optimally aligned with market needs and actively support the marketing of new services.

Partner & Vendor Cooperation

  • You use your network with Microsoft and strategic partners to optimally position our services in the market and generate new deals.

Knowledge and Skills

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • You confidently manage the sales cycle, build trusting relationships with customers and internal teams, and convince with a clear business focus.

Negotiation Skills & Commercial Strength

  • You bring strong negotiation skills, understand the commercial aspects of complex deals, and are confident in tenders, offer submissions, and contract negotiations.

Technological Understanding

  • You know Microsoft Cloud Services (Azure, M365, Security, AI) and can convincingly present their business value – without getting deeply involved in solution design yourself.

Market & Industry Experience

  • You have experience dealing with customers from the public sector, SMEs, and large enterprises and communicate fluently in German and English.
