Job Description
Sportskeeda seeks a detail-oriented video content producer specializing in NBA and college basketball to write 8-10 short-video scripts for vertical content (Reels, YouTube Shorts). Responsibilities include converting scripts to videos using provided tools, fact-checking, developing content strategies, tracking analytics, and implementing course corrections. The ideal candidate possesses subject matter expertise in NBA and college basketball, strong writing skills for adapting longer stories to short-form scripts, and a knack for creating engaging content. Experience with video content and generative AI/video editing tools is preferred but not mandatory.

The
Opportunity
Sportskeeda is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-driven video content producer who is a subject matter specialist in the domain of NBA and college basketball!
The best part? We will teach you the rest! We will teach you how to write scripts for short-form content like Reels and YouTube Shorts, and we will teach you how to convert those scripts into videos too!
Dabbling into tech and innovation with a creative, detail-oriented mindset is the crux of this role and we would love to have you on board if you know your way around content about the NBA, as well as college basketball!

Key
Responsibilities

Writing 8-10 short-video scripts within the NBA and college basketball domain, purely meant for vertical content
- Converting scripts and briefs into video using prescribed video tools for editing, voiceovers, graphics, etc.
- Fact-checking and proofing the scripts with proper due diligence with the reporting manager for a quality final product
- Developing content strategies in adherence to larger goals and targets
- Ownership of views, interactions, and traffic on the channels for the specific content domain assigned
- Tracking analytics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and implementing course-correction whenever necessary
Requirements
- Subject matter expertise in and around the NBA and college basketball in the US, with a knack to stay updated and consume content across various areas and platforms for the same
- Knowledge of content management and picking topics, selecting titles, hooks, and delivering quality, engaging information via short-form video content
- Strong writing skills to understand the scope and relevance of converting longer stories suitable for short-form scripts with exciting and unique angles
- 1-2 years of experience in video content (preferred, but not mandatory)
- Knowledge of generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Play.HT, ElevenLabs, etc. (preferred, but not mandatory)
- Knowledge of image / video editing tools like Canva, Premiere Pro, etc. (preferred, but not mandatory)
- A hunger to produce great content from your assigned domain and the eye for detail in picking the right stories and topics
