The Senior Project Engineer will provide engineering support to vendors throughout the product development lifecycle, from concept to production. Responsibilities include working with vendors and headquarters to meet target costs, ensuring product designs meet specifications and aesthetic requirements, managing consigned materials and sourcing, negotiating costs, providing technical support and debugging, addressing production issues, monitoring schedules, and offering on-site support. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in engineering, 5+ years of experience in the hard/soft toy industry, knowledge of international toy safety standards, strong communication skills (English and Mandarin), and the ability to manage projects from concept to production.

Job Description:

What will you work on?

Carry out all engineering support at vendors on the product development and debug to meet the product specifications and aesthetic requirements.

How will you fit into the team?
 

  • Work with vendors and headquarter on the product design to hit the target cost;
  • Carry out product development, engineering, and debug to meet product specifications and aesthetic requirements;
  • Handle the consigned material, and special components sourcing and cost negotiation;
  • Provide technical support and debug as needed on consigned materials;
  • Provide support to internal groups on any production output issues and material authorization review;
  • Monitor the schedule and provide on-site support from development start to OBS;
  • Provide manufacturing support as needed after Production start.


What are your skills and experience?

  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Engineering or related discipline;
  • At least 5 years experiences in the (Hard / Soft Toys) industry;
  • Has knowledge in the (Hard / Soft Toys) industry standards for different countries.
  • Able to work from concept drawing through development until production;
  • Communications skills in both English and Mandarin.
