Job Description

This role involves the physical design implementation of complex silicon partitions/subsystems, from synthesis to GDS. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize Power Performance Areas (PPAs) and manage block-level physical implementation, ensuring high Quality of Results (QoR) for critical sensor IPs. Responsibilities include owning the implementation process, collaborating on PPA improvements, and managing QoR for critical sensor IPs. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of physical design experience are required, with experience in floor planning, PnR tools, and scripting languages (Tcl/Perl/Shell/Python).

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field
3+ years physical design experience
PnR tools & scripting (Tcl/Perl/Shell/Python)
Floor planning expertise
Deliver synthesis to GDS implementation
Collaborate on PPA improvements
Manage block-level physical implementation & QoR

Good to have:

Master's degree in relevant field
Verilog/SystemVerilog knowledge
Circuit design, device physics, deep submicron tech understanding
Algorithms and data structures understanding

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience with physical design methodology and flow validation/development methodology.
Experience in floor planning and physical design tool automation with Place and Route (PnR) tools and scripting in Tcl/Perl/Shell/Python.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog.
Understanding of circuit design, device physics and deep submicron technology.
Understanding of algorithms and data structures.
