Job Description

As a Software Engineer, AI/ML at Google, you'll build new product extensions, connectors, migration utilities, and features for GCP's AI product roadmap. Responsibilities include writing and reviewing code, contributing to documentation, debugging and resolving system issues, and interfacing with product/engineering teams. You'll work on projects critical to Google's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2 years of experience with data structures/algorithms, 2 years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree), and experience with Cloud AI/ML systems and tools. Fluency in English is essential for this customer-facing role.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2 years experience with data structures/algorithms
2 years software development experience (or 1 year with advanced degree)
Experience with Cloud AI/ML systems (TensorFlow, PyTorch etc.)
Fluent English communication

Good to have:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science
Experience developing accessible technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
Experience with Cloud AI/Machine learning systems and tools (e.g., Kaggle, TensorFlow, Pytorch etc.).
Ability to communicate in English fluently to interact with local stakeholders in this customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code and participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Interface with GCP Product/Eng teams to understand and scope the requirements for the product. Develop product or system code to the specs and to GCP SWE coding standards
