Job Description
- Linux networking stack experience
- Experience with networking solutions (data & control plane)
- Large distributed systems experience
- Experience with virtualization technologies (eBPF, load balancing, network security)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years software development experience
- 2 years experience with data structures/algorithms
- Kubernetes networking expertise
- Design and implement networking features
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Linux networking stack.
- Experience with networking solutions, data plane and control plane elements.
- Experience with large distributed systems.
- Familiarity with one or more of virtualization technologies, such as Extended Berkeley Packet Filter (ebpf), load balancing or network security.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement new networking features in the Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) area.
- Design and develop network virtualization solutions for containers.
- Help external GKE customers who hit issues in production clusters.
- Engage with the open source community to help shape the direction of networking in Kubernetes.
