Within Global Impact, the Global Communications team (Enterprise Communications, External Affairs & Crisis, Segment Communications, Reputation Communications, Story Lab, Communications Measurement & Insight and our McDonald’s production & creative Agency – Agency123) functions as a global center of excellence meant to promote and protect the McDonald’s brand and grow the business. We’re looking for a Manager, Transformation Communications to lead a comprehensive Global Finance Modernization (GF Mod) enterprise communications strategy, plan and assets to be leveraged by market teams. GF Mod, part of our Modernizing McDonald’s ambition, is a multiyear initiative that delivers modern digital tools, consistent global processes, and more efficient ways of working to empower our people to serve as more strategic advisors to the business. This role will be based in Chicago, IL, and you will report directly to the Director, Global Transformation Communications with a dotted line into the Senior Director, Organization Activation Lead, GF Mod. You will be a member of the broader Global Impact and Global Communications team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Building off Modernizing McDonald’s global narrative framework, develop and maintain master narrative for GF Mod to bring key audiences along the journey and equip our cross-functional team focused on implementing change across the organization with key messaging to create related assets.
  • Draft content including talking points, leader messages, and FAQs to bring audiences along our enterprise transformation journey.
  • Manage and facilitate global leader and stakeholder reviews of materials.
  • Develop and execute an enterprise GF Mod/Modernizing McDonald’s communications strategy for engaging global System audiences.
  • Partner across the global business to engage all three legs of the stool (suppliers, franchisees and employees) on our enterprise transformation ambitions.
  • Serve as strategic advisor, cultivating trusted partnership with business leaders and their teams.
  • Consult to cross-functional team who leads the development of an above mod enterprise sequencing calendar for all organizational change activities.
  • Collaborates with Segment and Market Impact, Communications and Change Leads to ensure globally consistent, locally relevant strategies and materials and provide counsel on the forums, channels and timing to share GF Mod messaging.
  • Integrates across Global Communications to ensure success stories and risks/impacts are properly escalated and McDonald’s brand reputation and Franchisee/employee experience is prioritized and protected.
  • Assesses communications activities and their effectiveness to find opportunities for enhancement

The expected salary range for this role is $129,800 – $165,490 per year
