About the job:
As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll be part of the Mobile Qualification team on the Search Qualification platform at Google. You'll play a crucial role in accelerating and improving the quality of mobile Search releases by building tools and services that optimize the development and launch of new features. You'll also contribute to a centralized system for tracking key performance indicators, enabling data-driven decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of mobile development and prioritizes the creation of maintainable and scalable systems. You will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. You will help Google in reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development
  • Experience with data structures/algorithms
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
  • Experience with Software Engineering
  • Leadership
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Software Architecture
Good to have:
  • Experience with software development with one or more general programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, or Go)
  • Experience with mobile or understanding of the mobile development space

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with Software Engineering, Leadership, Stakeholder Management, or Software Architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with mobile or understanding of the mobile development space.
