Job Description

Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Systems Design Engineer to work at our customers site in Derby on a contract basis.

Role details: 

  • Job title: Systems Design Engineer 
  • Contract length: 12 months 
  • Location: Derby  
  • Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solution

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Decompose user/customer requirements into systems requirements.
  • Define the system architecture of the solution.
  • Define and execute the V&V plan to demonstrate compliance.
  • Define the interface with suppliers and manage their ongoing delivery.
  • Manage and maintain the traceability of work activities to user requirements.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering tools techniques and processes (e.g. requirements decomposition)
  • Knowledge of Submarine Manoeuvring Room Trainers
  • Knowledge of Submarine NSRP operation and control

Additional Information

**Security clearance**

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.

Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
