Snowcastle Games is seeking a Tech Artist to join their team, either on-site in Oslo, Norway, or remotely with a maximum of +/- 2 hours from Central European Time. The role involves close collaboration with the art and code teams to optimize workflows and maintain visual quality across the Earthlock universe games. Responsibilities include developing art pipelines and tools, ensuring asset compliance with technical requirements, and monitoring GPU performance. The position is for a 100% full-time role.
Must have:
  • Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and art pipelines
  • Solid understanding of 2D and 3D asset creation software
  • Experience writing shaders
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow
Good to have:
  • Experience with lighting and post processing

100% position (37,5h/week) Oslo, Norway or remote timezone max +/- 2h CET

We're looking for a tech artist to join our team - either at the studio (Oslo, Norway) or working remotely. You'll be working on games set in the Earthlock universe. In this role you will collaborate closely with the art and code parts of our development team to ensure workflow optimisation and the visual quality across all areas of the game.

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and the art pipeline

  • Solid understanding of 2D and 3D asset creation software

  • Experience writing shaders

  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the development team to develop art pipelines and tools

  • Ensure that all game assets conform to technical requirements

  • Monitor and maintain GPU performance levels in the game

Bonus:

  • Experience with lighting and post processing
