As a Unity Game Animator, you will be a part of the team building the next generation of best-in-class casual mobile gaming experiences. You will work closely with key stakeholders in the organisation to create and deploy high-quality animations through Unity, contributing to the overall visual experience of our games. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and creative vision, with a deep understanding of animation principles and Unity’s animation tools.
What will be your key responsibilities?
As a key member of the Product Design team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality animations for characters, environments, and other game elements using Unity's animation tools, ensuring they enhance the gameplay experience and align with the game goals. Your specific responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
Experience: 4-6 years
Must-Have:
- Animation Creation and Implementation: Design, create, and implement animations for game features and elements using Unity.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with designers, artists, and developers to ensure animations align with the game’s artistic vision and technical requirements.
- Rigging and Skinning: Develop and maintain character rigs and skinning to ensure smooth and realistic movements.
- Optimize Animation Performance: Ensure animations are optimized for performance across various platforms without compromising quality.
- Debugging and Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve animation-related issues and bugs to ensure a seamless player experience.
- Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in animation and Unity development to continuously improve the quality of animations.
- Passion for games is a must.

What will you need to succeed in this role?
- 2+ years of experience in motion graphics design, preferably in the gaming industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing animation work, particularly in a game development context.
- Proficiency in Unity’s animation tools and systems (Animator, Mecanim, etc.).
- Curiosity about games and gamers, their behaviour and how they interact with mobile/digital products.
- Experience with animation software such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max.
- Excellent understanding of animation principles and techniques including rigging, skinning, and character physics.
- Most importantly, an extremely positive “Can Do” attitude which continuously drives you to take initiative and demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation.
- Strong team player and collaboration skills.
