We are looking for a 3D Animator to work on an open-world MMORPG for PC and Consoles. The responsibilities include creating keyframe 3D character gameplay animations, integrating animations via Unreal Engine, identifying and resolving animation-related issues, participating in playtests, and updating animation sequences. The role requires proficiency in Maya, experience with HIK HumanIK, a strong demo reel, and a solid understanding of character performance and anatomy. We are looking for a 3D Animator to work at an open-world MMORPG for PC and Consoles with a team of professionals worldwide.

About us:
GS STUDIO is a European game development studio. Our company has been developing games and applications since 2011. We work with partners from Europe, Canada, and the USA.We started as a small team of indie Flash game developers, and now we are a solid studio of game development veterans. We love games and know almost everything about them. We are developing high-quality products of varying complexity, such as MMORPG, AR / VR games, and applications.Responsibilities:

  • Created strong / Realistic / Clear / Readable / “Keyframe” 3d Character Gameplay animations with instruction and feedback from the Lead Animator.
  • Animations will require Bipedal / Quadruped / Custom / Creature / Imagination.
  • Integrate and verify your own Animations via (Unreal Engine).
  • Identify and help resolve technical and artistic issues related to animation.
  • Be involved in regular group playtests.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with an interest to experiment and learn new methods/practices.
  • Updating Animation Sequences with Relative Animation Tags (Unreal).

Requirements:

  • Expert level proficiency in Maya animation package.
  • Proficient with HIK HumanIK system and custom rigs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Art/Animation or equivalent experience.
  • Outstanding demo reel demonstrating experience working with character/creature/gameplay systems.
  • 4+ years of experience animating video games.
  • At least one shipped game.
  • Experience working within Unreal Engine or a Comparable engine.
  • An Understanding of creating Character Skin, HIK Maya Rig.
  • Jira Time tracking of all tasks throughout the animation pipeline.
  • Meet project timelines and production schedules.
  • Understanding of character performance, form, gesture, and silhouette in regard to player character.
  • Understanding of anatomy and caricature.
  • Experience and understanding of Character state networks / Blendtree’s and montages.
