Job Description

Nekki, a game development studio, is seeking a Lead 3D Animator for their project, Shadow Fight 3. The role involves leading the animation team, providing feedback, developing the animation vision, and ensuring the required quality. Responsibilities include creating diverse animations, improving existing ones, working with motion capture, and integrating the internal Cascadeur animation development process. The ideal candidate should possess strong animation skills, experience in animation for games or film, and the ability to effectively communicate the animation vision to the team.

  • Rigging, Skinning.
  • Python/MEL.
  • Artistic education.
Must Have:
  • 3+ years of animation experience.
  • Excellent proficiency in Maya for animation.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles and body mechanics.
  • Experience animating for fighting games.
  • Experience working with animation tools in Unity.
  • Ability to provide animation feedback.
  • Understanding of animation rigs.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent communication in Russian.

Currently, we are looking for Lead 3D Animators for our projects: Shadow Fight 3

 

Shadow Fight 3 is an fascinating action-RPG fighting game that immerses players in the Shadow World. They battle various enemies, enhancing their hero and utilizing a rich selection of weapons, armor, and fighting styles. The game allows players to create a unique character and explore a deep, well-developed world with a history of over 15 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and providing feedback on the team's animations. Ability to integrate into the existing animation guidelines, enhance them, develop a clear animation vision for the project, and effectively communicate it to the team to achieve the required quality.
  • Representing the animation team in discussions about pipelines and workflow approaches, ensuring critical issues are resolved.
  • Creating diverse animations.
  • Improving existing animations through feedback and constructive critique.
  • Working with motion capture.
  • Gradually learning and integrating the internal Cascadeur animation development process.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in animation for games or film.
  • Excellent proficiency in Maya for animation.
  • Strong understanding of animation principles and body mechanics.
  • Experience animating for fighting games or a solid understanding of how to do it properly through industry knowledge and experience.
  • Experience working with animation tools in Unity.
  • Ability to provide feedback and set the animation vision for the project.
  • Understanding of animation rigs and animation tools.
  • Receptiveness to constructive criticism and an iterative development process.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A deep interest in and familiarity with video games, animated films, and cinema.
  • Fluent communication in Russian.
