Job Description

The Material Artist will work on a new console action project, SPINE. The project, built with Unreal Engine 5, is a third-person beat 'em up with a deep storyline, unique setting, cutscenes, and memorable battles with firearms. Responsibilities include improving visual quality, optimizing performance, working with shaders and materials, creating textures and masks, collaborating with 3D artists, and searching for technical solutions. The project is the company's first for PC and consoles.
Must have:
  • Experience with UE 5/4 and the Material Editor.
  • Experience with Substance Designer.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Understanding of PBR principles.
  • Ability to independently find technical solutions.

Job Details

Currently, we are seeking a Material Artist to work on a new console action project, SPINE.

 

SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It’s a third-person beat’em’up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.

 

This project represents a new ambitious challenge for the company as it marks our first game for both PC and consoles.

Responsibilities:

  • Improving visual quality of objects and optimizing performance.
  • Working with shaders and materials.
  • Creating textures, texture masks.
  • Close collaboration with 3D artists to work on characters and environment.
  • Searching and implementing new technical solutions to fulfill assigned tasks.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience with UE 5/4, knowledge of Material Editor.
  • Experience with Substance Designer.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Understanding the principles of PBR.
  • Ability to independently search for technical information and solutions using various sources.
  • Fluent communication in Russian is required.
