We are currently looking for an Automotive Digital Design Intern​ to join our team in San Diego, CA.

Primary function is the design development of two-dimensional representations of future Nissan and Infiniti products.

A Day in the Life:   

  • Develop 3D representations of 2D sketch proposals which represent future automotive designs for both Nissan and Infiniti, using Alias, SubD or Blender  

  • Creatively visualize and interpret design concepts into the digital form, taking into account the visual proportions, line character, weight, directional quality and total harmony of the design.

  • Creatively interpret engineering requirements into the digital design

  • Create CG renderings of exterior and interior design projects using VRED or Unreal  

  • Work in a fast paced, dual brand, multiple project, creative environment

  • Understand current trends and requirements in US and international automobile design

Who We’re Looking for: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transportation Design or a related field

  • Graduating after completion of the internship

  • GPA of 3.0 or above

  • 3D software: Alias Autodesk, SubD or Blender

  • Visualization software: VRED or Unreal

  • Intermediate use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator. Autodesk Alias, Sub-D, VRED, VR tools

  • Microsoft PowerPoint and MS Office in a Windows PC environment. 

  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail

  • Self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skillsets

  • Strong communication skills

  • Submit an Automotive Design Portfolio for consideration
