Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Body Repair Estimator in Perth, Australia to join its groundbreaking Body Repair Program. Responsibilities include creating repair estimates for collision-damaged Tesla vehicles, building repair plans according to Tesla's procedures, billing according to insurance standards, documenting damages, ordering parts, communicating with insurance companies, directing technicians, managing time to meet daily requirements, and updating customers on vehicle progress. The role requires 3+ years of automotive collision damage estimating experience, knowledge of insurance procedures, I-CAR certification (preferred), excellent communication skills, proficiency with computers and Audatex estimating software, and excellent customer service skills.

Must have:

3+ years automotive collision damage estimating experience
Knowledge of insurance procedures
I-CAR certification preferred
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with Audatex Estimating Software

Good to have:

Automotive knowledge/background
Willingness to be cross-trained in management roles

What You’ll Do

Create repair estimates for Collision damaged for all Tesla models that arrive for repair (Technical estimating, no sales estimating)

Build Repair Plans in accordance with Tesla specific repair procedures
Bill work in accordance with industry accepted Insurance standards
Document all damages requiring repair or parts replacement with photos
Direct disassembly to technicians to expose all damages up front
Order all replacement parts from Tesla Warehouse when necessary
Monitor parts delivery • Communicate with insurance companies to submit claims and billing
Direct Body Repair Technicians to perform repair attempts where Repair Vs Replace is not clear
Manage time to meet daily requirements of fully Blueprinted vehicles
Update Customers on vehicle progress
