Tesla is seeking a skilled Body Repair Technician (Panel Beater) in Oakleigh, Australia to join its groundbreaking Body Repair Program. Responsibilities include performing structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla vehicles (Model S, X, and 3), using advanced tools and techniques. This involves working with Celette Frame Jigs, glueing, riveting, and welding structural components, repairing exterior panels, replacing parts (including body panels, suspension, vehicle structure, radiators, airbags, and trim), and adhering to Tesla's repair procedures. Proficiency in MIG welding and experience with aluminum repairs and heavy damage on prestige vehicles are essential. The role requires a strong understanding of safety practices and team collaboration. The position offers continuous training and an opportunity to be part of a revolutionary company.
Must have:
- 3+ years' experience in automotive collision repair
- Proficient in MIG welding
- Aluminum repair experience
- Structural repair experience on prestige vehicles
- Teamwork and organization skills
Good to have:
- I-CAR Australia Welding certification
- Certificate in Collision/Body Repair
- Knowledge of Tesla repair procedures

What You’ll Do- Perform Structural and cosmetic repairs on Tesla Model S, Model X, and Model 3 vehicles in accordance with Tesla-specific Repair procedures
- Use Celette Frame Jigs for setting New Structural Components
- Glue, Rivet, and Weld structural components being replaced
- Repair exterior cosmetic panels via Metal Finishing and body filler
- Replace all parts associated with collision repair including body panels, suspension parts, vehicle structure, Radiators, Airbags and Trim
- Proficient in MIG Welding
- Follow Standards and work in Teams
- 3+ years’ experience as an automotive collision repair Technician
- Excellent attitude and enjoys working with others in teams
- Neat and organized work habits
- I-CAR Australia Welding certification is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with aluminum repairs and procedures
- Proficient in MIG welding
- Experience with heavy damage/structural repairs on prestige vehicles
- Certificate in Collision/ Body Repair and maintenance is a plus
- Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record
- Capable of reading and comprehending automotive repair procedure
- Strong knowledge of PPE and safe practices
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Self starter with a team player attitude
- Hands on problem solving skills and analytical thinking
This position requires a minimum 38 hours per week. $40 - $55 per hour based on experience + Tesla equity.
