Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Location: Nordic Region - Hybrid working

About the Company: This studio is an innovative game developer backed by one of the largest gaming companies globally. They foster a fun, creative, and collaborative work environment, dedicated to creating immersive multiplayer gaming experiences.

Your Mission: As the CTO, you’ll shape the studio's technical vision, lead a talented engineering team, and drive key technical decisions. You will work closely with the CEO to position the studio at the forefront of virtual world development. Working across multiple projects and on excellent technology, you will guide and grow the existing skills and technology stack into the future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the studio's technology strategy.
• Lead and mentor development teams.
• Innovate with new technologies to enhance gaming experiences.
• Ensure alignment of technology vision with business goals.
• Establish and meet development milestones within budget and high standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Product, and Finance for resource allocation and scalable infrastructure.
• Implement engineering best practices and coding standards.

Requirements:

• 12+ years in game development. - Ideally multiplayer online
• 7+ years in management.
• Released AA+ or AAA multiplayer game on PC or Console in a leadership role.
• Expertise in game technologies (C++, Unreal Engine/Unity, custom toolchains, Server/Multiplayer).
• Strong business judgment and experience in technical hiring and mentorship.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
