Job Description

As the CTO, you'll shape the studio's technical vision, lead a talented engineering team, and drive key technical decisions. You will work closely with the CEO to position the studio at the forefront of virtual world development. Working across multiple projects and on excellent technology, you will guide and grow the existing skills and technology stack into the future. Key responsibilities include defining and driving the studio's technology strategy, leading and mentoring development teams, innovating with new technologies to enhance gaming experiences, ensuring alignment of technology vision with business goals, establishing and meeting development milestones within budget and high standards, collaborating with Production, Product, and Finance for resource allocation and scalable infrastructure, and implementing engineering best practices and coding standards.
Must have:
  • 12+ years in game development. - Ideally multiplayer online
  • 7+ years in management.
  • Released AA+ or AAA multiplayer game on PC or Console in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in game technologies (C++, Unreal Engine/Unity, custom toolchains, Server/Multiplayer).
  • Strong business judgment and experience in technical hiring and mentorship.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Location: Nordic Region - Hybrid working

Your Mission: As the CTO, you’ll shape the studio's technical vision, lead a talented engineering team, and drive key technical decisions. You will work closely with the CEO to position the studio at the forefront of virtual world development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the studio's technology strategy.
  • Lead and mentor development teams.
