JOB SUMMARY:

As a Contributions Associate, you will play a crucial role in organizing and processing the contributions made by our church family. Your efforts in accurately processing contributions will impact our church’s ability to serve and reach our community and beyond. What sets this role apart is its unique blend of financial rigor and the opportunity to work closely with our church family, ensuring their contributions are received and acknowledged in an accurate and timely manner. You will be working on-site at our Palm Beach Gardens location.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist with processing financial contributions from individuals and organizations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contributions received.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding donor information and contribution amounts, always respecting the privacy of our church family.
  • Communicate with donors and provide exceptional customer service regarding contribution-related inquiries.
  • Provide support to our campus contributions teams.
  • Assist staff with ministry deposits and contributions/ account receivable questions.
  • Work closely with the finance team to reconcile contribution records with bank statements, ensuring accuracy and integrity in our financial reporting.
  • Flexible to work during special events or seasons which may result in increased contributions requiring additional attention.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and/or REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a finance or accounting role.
  • Prior banking experience a plus.
  • Solid customer service experience.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Willingness to learn new software.

JOB SPECS: 

Classification: Part-time Hourly (Non-exempt) | 24 hours per week | Monday - Wednesday 9 am to 5 pm.
