As a Japanese-speaking Content Producer at KICK, you'll create engaging copy, imagery, and video for the Japanese market. Responsibilities include managing social media accounts, achieving awareness and consideration objectives, translating content for various platforms (OOH, landing pages, emails), and ensuring brand consistency across all content. You'll work with live streamers and industry figures, utilizing your knowledge of gaming, sports, television, and internet culture to connect with a Gen Z audience. Content creation will involve ideation, production (independently and collaboratively), creating trending and evergreen content, editing streams, covering events, and reporting on performance to meet impression and watch time targets. The ideal candidate is fluent in Japanese and English, has social media management experience, and understands Gen Z culture.

Your Role with Us:

The Japanese speaking Content Producer will create copy, imagery, and video for our Japanese speaking markets. 

You will be accountable for the performance of Kick’s Japanese social media accounts, specifically, the achievement of awareness and consideration objectives. You’ll also be responsible for translating copy for other teams; think OOH, landing pages, emails, and the like.

What will integrate your content with everything else is tone of voice. You'll embrace our brand archetypes, the jester and the outlaw, making sure that the only difference between English and Japanese content is language. It may be bespoke but it will still be fun, playful, and disruptive!

What you will do:

  • Translation of English content.
  • Ideation and production of Japanese content, created independently or in collaboration with our Design team.
    - Hub: Planned and reactive content that taps into trending topics.
    - Help: Evergreen content that addresses common questions.
  • Clipping and editing of both branded and creator streams.
  • Coverage of IRL and URL events.
  • Application of the brand’s tone of voice.
  • Maintenance of and adherence to a marketing calendar that includes channels such as X.
  • Reporting that improves performance.
  • Achievement of impression and watch time targets.

What you will bring:

Essential experience

  • Fluent in both Japanese and English.
  • A viewer or creator of streams.
  • Experience managing social media for a brand.
  • An interest in gaming, sports, television, and internet culture.
  • In tune with Gen Z.

Bonus if you have:

  • Lived in a Japanese speaking country.
