Job Description

As an Esports Marketing Manager, you are responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies and developing distribution channels that drive awareness, viewership, and monetization of esports and competitive gaming experiences within our gaming community.

This is a highly collaborative role that interfaces with multiple disciplines and teams, leveraging diverse expertise and talent to deliver outstanding marketing campaigns and initiatives.

As the guardian of esports brand image and perception, you are the liaison between our production partners, publishing, and marketing services teams, and ensure that the competitive experience vision is carried out successfully towards our players and fans – both current and potential – while serving operational marketing needs.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute effective and innovative marketing strategies and campaigns to support our esports tournaments, global events, esports in-game items, ad-hoc initiatives, and long-term objectives.
  • Present marketing plans to internal and external partners, ensuring strategic alignment and adequate level of support.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of all hero assets and key marketing deliverables in collaboration with production partners, internal creative teams, and external partners.
  • Define global guidelines, timeline, and best practices for marketing campaigns for our different types of esports experiences and products.
  • Establish a framework for distributing marketing assets to maximize ROI on content production and grow owned channels.
  • Work with content creators and community engagement teams on esports co-streaming strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with production teams and external partners to design esports in-game items for global esports events and revenue share programs.
  • Develop initiatives to grow esports distribution channels, such as content drops, engagement features, and loyalty programs.
  • Supervise the updating and curation of content across our esports distribution channels, preserving relevance and quality for fans.
  • Manage relationships with online platforms to support esports and competitive gaming.
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gaining insights and evaluating against goals.
  • Track performance metrics and adjust marketing efforts accordingly.
  • Analyze market trends and adapt strategies to position our esports and competitive gaming experiences at the forefront of the industry.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of marketing, business, or related field.
  • Confirmed experience in esports marketing or related roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of the esports industry and trends.
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused (both internal and external).
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Great collaboration skills combined with an ability to understand and address challenges stemming from esports production and marketing professions.
  • Proficient in social media marketing and analytics tools.
