Job Description

The Manager, Merchandising at Disney Store Japan is responsible for the overall merchandise strategy, development, and execution across multiple categories for both physical stores and e-commerce. This role requires leading the merchandising team, collaborating with global and APAC teams, and maximizing sales opportunities. Key responsibilities include planning and executing merchandise strategies, developing products that exceed guest expectations, leveraging global products, leading cross-functional initiatives, managing P&L, and fostering a strong team environment. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in product development, team management, and preferably experience with character merchandise. The position requires strong communication, project management, and financial acumen.

Must have:

5+ years product development experience
3+ years team management (5+ members)
Character merchandise experience
Negotiation skills (pricing, deadlines)
P&L responsibility & financial acumen
Strong communication & project management skills

Good to have:

English communication experience
Experience with global merchandise sourcing

職務内容:

Merchandise Strategy & Development

日本のディズニーストア(実店舗およびeコマース)における商品戦略立案から商品企画の立案、実行まですべての管理を行い、ディズニーストアの販売機会を最大化するための商品開発の責任を持つ。
ディズニーストアで販売する商品の企画開発(ゲスト動向や市場のトレンドを的確に捉え、常にゲストの期待を超える商品を提供する)をリードする。
グローバルおよびAPACマーチャンダイジングチーム/ソーシングチームと協働し、グローバル商品を活用する。
新たなビジネスチャンスを最大化するため、LOB/会社横断的なイニシアチブをリードする。

P&L Responsibility

Long Term Planを推進しながら、担当カテゴリーの売り上げ・利益予算の達成責任を持つ。
週次、月次、四半期ごとの財務ビジネスレビューを行う。

Organization Management

事業目標達成のために、強い組織、チーム作りを行い、一人一人の育成責任を持つ。
明確な戦略や戦術を確立し、チームのモチベーションを高める。
全チームメンバーの年間目標の設定や評価を行い、フィードバックやパフォーマンス向上のための提案など、定期的かつ適切なパフォーマンスマネジメントを行う。

必須条件:

5年以上のメーカーもしくはSPAでの商品開発経験
3年以上のチームマネジメント経験(5名以上)
キャラクター商品の企画開発経験
取引先との折衝経験(納期、価格など)
(尚可)ビジネスにおいて英語を使用したコミュニケーションの経験
プロジェクトマネジメント経験、高いコミュニケーションスキル
