Who are we hiring?  

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering technology projects of medium to high complexity for MSG Ventures. This position will work with colleagues to plan and execute projects of strategic importance to the organization. An emphasis on delivery and communication with executives and both internal and external stakeholders, as well as teamwork in a matrixed environment, is required.   

What will you do?  

  • Provide project plans, scheduling, financial tracking, and reporting on projects  
  • Develop technical SOPs, workflow charts, operating checklists, and SOWs  
  • Utilize technical knowledge to define dependencies of future projects, project timelines, project tracking, and reporting  
  • Project and plan for the removal and reinstallation of technical Test Sites from location to location  
  • Develop tools/methodology to organize and drive work forward 
  • Oversee and prepare technology plans and budgets  
  • Create, maintain, and distribute project documentation, internal reporting, meeting minutes and deliverables 
  • Use influence and insights to help the business achieve its goals and to make appropriate use of technology resources 
  • Develop and maintain key customer and vendor relationships  
  • Maintain multiple project timelines and ensure milestones are completed on schedule  
  • Communicate effectively and clearly, both orally and in writing  
  • Recognize potential risks and elevate them to management   

What do you need to succeed?  

  • 5+ years of previous Technical Project Management experience 
  • 10+ years of live production experience 
  • Proficient use of MS Project with resource management experience 
  • Experience with managing large video, audio, and lighting installations  
  • Broad knowledge of AV equipment and live productions  
  • Ability to write technical SOPs, workflow charts, and operating checklists  
  • A confident, professional, and persuasive communication style with senior leaders and team members  
  • Ability to remain flexible and calm in high-pressure situations  
  • Experience negotiating contracts and professional services  
  • Ability to collaborate, build relationships, and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix-management environment (as well as external vendors and service providers) to ensure that segregation and overlapping roles are identified and coordinated

  • Special projects may require occasional travel and non-standard work hours

Pay Range
$125,000$160,000 USD
