Job Description

Zscaler is looking for an experienced Manager, Technical Account Management to join its Customer Success team. Reporting to the Director, Technical Account Management, you will be responsible for providing input to the organization's strategic programs, leading these with the team, establishing operational goals and work plans, and delegating assignments to team members. You will also guide behavior, motivate, and support the existing TAM team, coaching them and contributing to customer pursuits. You will work with teams in Support, Engineering, Ops, and sales, requiring strong collaboration and team ethics. Your responsibilities include increasing adoption and deployment strategies to meet customers' requirements, working with the Customer Success team to grow project and engagement plans with your clients, improving service availability, security posture, and service usage, and maintaining client-specific documentation, incident response plans, and architectural and deployment documentation.
Must have:
  • 10+ years of experience in a technical role involving networking or information security.
  • Leadership and sound technical backgrounds.
  • Experience leading teams to achieve their goals.
  • Experience providing technical leadership during major incidents.
  • People management skills and ability to manage escalations in a growing company.
Good to have:
  • Experience hiring, building, and defining roles for world-class technical teams up to 15 members.
  • Intimate knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, and core networking protocols.
  • Consultancy background in Internet and Security technologies such as SWG, Sandboxing, Firewall, DLP, VPNs, MPLS, SD-WAN, or WAN Optimization.
  • Working knowledge of web-based security and network infrastructure, Security Proxies, such as NGFW, SSL/IPSec VPNs, and Firewalls.
  • Vendor certifications CISSP, CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, and MCSE.

Our Customer Success Strategy & Operations team uses valuable data and market research to help our customers succeed and lead value. Our teams collaborate to identify solutions using competitor and industry trend analysis, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making. We're responsible for facilitating smooth transitions during organisational change efforts that promote employee adoption.

We're looking for an experienced Manager, Technical Account Management to join our Customer Success team. Reporting to the Director, Technical Account Management, you'll be responsible for:

  • Provide input to the organisations strategic programmes and lead these with the team
  • Establish operational goals and work plans and delegates assignments to team members
  • Guide behaviour, motivate, and above all, support the existing TAM team – coach them, contribute to customer pursuits. Develop the team through training and certification
  • You will also work with our teams in Support, Engineering, Ops, and sales, so a collaboration and team ethics is important. Increase adoption and deployment strategies to meet customers' our requirements
  • Work with the Customer Success team to grow project and engagement plans with your clients

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 10+ years' experience in a technical role involving networking or information security. Have leadership and sound technical backgrounds. Experience leading teams to achieve their goals. Provide technical leadership during major incidents
  • People management skills, but also the ability to manage escalations, and work in the growing company.
  • Improve service availability, security posture and service usage. Maintain client specific documentation. Incident response plans, architectural and deployment documentation

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience hiring/building and defining roles for a world-class technical teams up to 15 members. Intimate knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, TCP and core networking protocols.
  • Our preference is a consultancy background in Internet and Security technologies such as SWG, Sandboxing, FireWall, DLP, VPNs, MPLS, SD-WAN or WAN Optimization.
  • You will have a working knowledge of web-based security and network infrastructure, Security Proxies, such as NGFW, SSL/IPSec VPNs, and Firewalls. Vendor certification CISSP, CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, and MCSE a distinct advantage.
