This role involves collaborating with design engineers to verify intricate multimedia digital design blocks for Google's custom silicon solutions. Responsibilities include developing and refining constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM, defining comprehensive coverage metrics, and debugging tests to ensure the functionality of design blocks. The ideal candidate will have experience in ASIC performance verification, SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA), and assertion-based verification, along with a strong understanding of multimedia IPs like display or video codecs and ASIC standard interfaces. The position contributes to the innovation behind Google's consumer products, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • UVM framework experience
  • SystemVerilog for ASIC RTL verification
  • Object-oriented programming
  • Develop and refine verification environments
Good to have:
  • ASIC performance verification experience
  • SVA and assertion-based verification
  • Image processing or multimedia IP experience
  • Knowledge of ASIC standard interfaces

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in developing and utilizing verification components and environments within the UVM framework.
  • Experience in SystemVerilog for ASIC RTL verification.
  • Experience in object-oriented programming.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in ASIC performance verification, including ASIC components.
  • Experience in verification techniques, including System Verilog Assertions (SVA) and assertion-based verification.
  • Experience with image processing or other multimedia IPs, such as display or video codec.
  • Knowledge of ASIC standard interfaces and memory system architecture.
