We’re looking for a People Advisor (Generalist) to join our award winning team in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside.
As a People Advisor (Generalist) at Double Eleven, you'll play a fundamental role in bringing to life our employee-centric culture that prioritises well-being, professional development and work-life balance. A typical work day as a People Advisor (Generalist) will be varied, working with our dynamic People Team to engage in a range of diverse HR activities from employee relations to performance management and from wellbeing support to benefit strategies.

What you’ll be doing
Employee Lifecycle
- Supporting our People Administrators with the planning and hosting of our monthly company induction for new employees
- Collaborate with line managers to host new starter catch-up meetings and end-of-probation meetings, collating feedback and actioning any queries or next steps identified in these
- Provide ad-hoc support to the People Advisor (Onboarding) with end-to-end UK visa, immigration and relocation processes as required
- Conduct exit interviews for all leavers, collating feedback and relaying this to relevant stakeholders
- Participate and where relevant lead on People & Culture projects
Health and Wellbeing
- Work alongside our People Manager and People Lead to oversee our company wellbeing benefits including private medical insurance policy and Plumm, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and to support our team members to utilise these tools
- Regularly engage with team members and line managers on matters relating to personal wellbeing, creating bespoke wellbeing action plans, and signposting to relevant support avenues available including but not limited to EAP referrals, Occupational Health and Right to Choose
- Support on issuing regular communications to the business relating to our health and wellbeing offer
People Systems and Reporting
- Create and maintain our People Team pages on our internal employee portal, ensuring its contents remain up-to-date
- Ensure our HRIS remains up-to-date with accurate records
- Extract and manage data from our People system(s) to identify insights and trends, create and publish reports to stakeholders at all levels
- Contribute to the continued improvement of our People system(s)
- Act as a point of contact for team members across the business to resolve their queries/issues with our People system(s). Actively seek out and action feedback to improve these
Employee Relations
- Stay up-to-date with HR industry trends, policies and best practices
- Work alongside our People Administrators to maintain our People helpdesk and shared inbox, responding to tickets within the prescribed service level agreements (SLA’s), escalating to the People Lead or People Manager where required
- Provide advice and guidance to line managers across the business on employee relations matters
- Provide coaching and share best practice to line managers and stakeholders regarding employee relations matters
- Provide support to line managers, empowering them to take ownership of formal disciplinary processes concerning their teams, including but not limited to investigation and disciplinary meetings, and grievance hearings
- Monitor sickness absence and support line managers to manage this with their team members
Policy Development
- Maintain, manage and proactively identify ways to improve all the People (HR) policies and procedures in line with current legislation and report to the People Lead
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience gained from previous HR Generalist roles or similar
- Strong knowledge of relevant HR laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, G Suite, and other relevant software applications

- All relevant qualifications considered
- CIPD qualifications are desirable but not essential
