Job description:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic team at Pallet. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches our company’s vision and is suitable for various platforms.

Your duties will include reviewing shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list. You'll cut footage in a way that tells a cohesive and compelling story. You will also be responsible for adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics and inputting music, dialogs, graphics, and effects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
  • Take a brief to grasp the production team's needs and specifications
  • Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and contribution to continuity
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
  • Input music, dialogs, graphics, and effects
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry s best practices to maximize efficiency

Requirements

  • Any PG/UG Graduates.
  • Minimum 1 year of video editing and post-production experience
  • Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles
  • Bachelor's degree in Film or related field
  • Proven work experience as a Video Editor
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills
