Job Description

As a Product Manager I at Google Search, you'll guide products from conception to launch, bridging the technical and business worlds. You'll break down complex problems, collaborate with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on cutting-edge technologies, and develop solutions across regions and functions. Responsibilities include understanding markets, competition, and user needs, launching new features, testing performance, iterating quickly, and working on technologies that improve access to information globally. You will be responsible for analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring solutions to users' needs, reimagining what it means to search for information.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years product management experience
  • 1+ year experience launching technical products
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good to have:
  • Master's/PhD in technology or business
  • Experience in business functions (marketing, operations)
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Software development/engineering experience

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 1 year of experience in software development or engineering.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth.
  • Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly. 
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on cutting edge technologies. 
  • Develop solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.
