DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Organizes and leads detailed game evaluations and summary reports of all solo and group evaluations with detailed analysis of game features, analyzing potential product strengths, weaknesses, uniqueness, market viability, and competitive analysis.
Creates and leads group game, service, hardware evaluation, and consumer sentiment research teams
Monitors consumer reaction and PR effectiveness; provides analytical reports, and recommends a course correction, if needed.
Leads or contributes analysis and detailed development feedback on hardware, games, and services in development, as well as competitive hardware, software, services, and industry events.
Leads presentations of products, services, evaluations, research and analysis, and market insights to executives, internal organization teams, and game development teams
Provides game evaluation context and insight for Product Development and Publishing stakeholders, and other departments across the organization
Contributes to the analysis of development concept documents for proposed games, analyzing potential product strengths, weaknesses, and market viability
Analyzes market trends and cross-references game evaluations to influence order forecasting, product pricing, and reactive media management
Responsible for either the strategic planning, execution & project management throughout the product launch process, or the aggregation and analysis of product strengths, weaknesses, uniqueness, and competitive analysis.
Leads presentations and provides feedback to teams at various levels across the organization, up to and including the executive leadership team
Contributes to product demonstrations to other departments and outside partners as needed and assigned.
Leverages product knowledge and data driven insights to influence and recommend campaign strategy and tactics.
Contributes to successful product marketing campaign launch activities by leveraging an in-depth knowledge of product experience
As a subject matter expert, provides indirect leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other Product Experience team members, broader Product Development and Publishing staff, and junior staff as needed.
Works and collaborates cross functionally with various stakeholders including Nintendo Company Ltd. (NCL), outside partners, internal teams, and media.
Translates written and verbal communications including emails, product evaluations, and other documentation, and conference calls with development and promotions teams in Japan.
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:
Five to eight years of related experience.
Good game play skills and the ability to identify key selling points and marketing opportunities.
Able to work on complex, highly visible, and confidential projects.
Strong knowledge of Nintendo IP, franchise, and games.
Excellent organization skills with acute attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work at the designated work location (onsite, hybrid, or remote).
Strong public speaking, writing and presentation skills.
Historical and current knowledge of the video game industry for home and mobile markets required.
Strong PC Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and MS Teams preferred).
Familiarity with Japanese business practices.
Bilingual: Fluent in English and Japanese with strong bilingual spoken and written communication skills.
Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job family and basic knowledge of related job families.
Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
Bilingual: Japanese proficiency test Level I or native fluency required.
Valid passport may be required.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $102,500 - $164,000 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
