Job Description

This Senior BI Data Analytics Engineer role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes, reporting, and analytics for Nintendo's global consumer contact centers. Responsibilities include creating data extraction procedures, measuring agent quality and contact center efficiency, and developing BI stored procedures and reports using SQL Server, Excel, and Tableau. The role requires expertise in data warehousing, creating dashboards, scorecards, and analytics. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cloud data architectures and excellent SQL skills. Develops and maintains medium to complex data warehouse ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading), reporting, and analytic tasks for Nintendo global consumer contact centers.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
  • Designs, develops, and maintains ETL routines and reporting with agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) using Microsoft SQL Server, Excel, and Tableau.
  • Creates data extraction procedures and analytical products to measure, track and improve agent quality, contact center efficiency and outsourced vendor performance.
  • Provides expertise working with existing team (contract and FTEs) to create business intelligence stored procedures and reports, including design, development and management of a data warehouse environment used for analytics and reporting.
  • Understands the needs of the business and translates those into meaningful reporting that allows for actionable decisions.
  • Ensures the generation of standard or custom reports summarizing operational and financial data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for review by executives, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Identifies and recommends changes to optimize the ETL environment, implement monitoring, quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Conducts or coordinates unit and system tests ensuring intelligence is consistent with defined needs.
  • Designs and deploys database table structures, reports, and queries.
  • Supports implemented BI solutions by monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance, and communicating functional and technical issues.
  • Documents specifications for Data Warehouse (DWH) extracts, reports, dashboards, or other outputs.
  • Facilitates and leads project planning and execution with cross functional teams across the organization.
  • Works with business and engineering managers to prioritize the project stream, aid roadmap definition and identify project dependencies.
  • Administers reporting systems including user/role provisioning, deployments and change control.
  • Conducts comparison processes to identify and develop process improvements; provides recommendations on next steps and manages deliverables.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in developing data warehousing solutions, dashboards, scorecards, and analytics.
    • Proficient in writing T-SQL code, SSIS packages, and Stored Procedures on Microsoft SQL Server.
    • Proficient in writing C# routines to extract data from various physical and cloud databases/data lakes through API calls.
    • Experience working as a database report developer to deliver BI to business users using Tableau or similar tool.
    • Familiarity with Operations KPI's and contact center forecasting.
    • Working knowledge of cloud data architectures like Snowflake.
    • Experience designing and deploying normalized and dimensional database objects (eg. star schemas).
    • Extensive reporting experience within an ETL based data migration paradigm.
    • Excellent native SQL skills; comfortable using a data access tool such as Toad or SSMS.
    • Share Point, Power BI, Excel macro, Windows script development experience (preferred).
    • Ability to analyze trends in metrics and suggest Dashboard layouts (preferred).
    • Customer Service, Operations, Retail, CRM, or B2C e-commerce background a plus.
    • Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own technical job family and basic knowledge of related technical job families; has worked with a range of technologies.
    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, information systems, or other quantitative field.

    This position includes a base salary range of $137,000 - $246,500 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
