Uken seeks a Product Marketing Manager for a social casual mobile game. You'll shape marketing strategy, execute campaigns, conduct market research, and integrate the brand. Must-have experience in mobile gaming, strong project management, and data-driven insights.

Uken is looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our Performance Marketing team working on a licensed IP social casual mobile game. This role is pivotal in shaping the marketing strategy and ensuring seamless integration of the brand into all aspects of the product life cycle, from pre-production to live operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gaming, a keen understanding of mobile gaming audiences, and a knack for strategic marketing and brand management.


As a Ukenite, you’ll be working on meaningful things like:


Marketing Strategy and Execution:

  • Acting as the liaison between the production team, the players and the licensor
  • Collaborating closely with the Product, Marketing, and Community teams to develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans tailored to the target audience and aligned with the licensor's marketing objectives
  • Briefing all partners on marketing strategy, positioning, and messaging to ensure brand consistency and alignment with the licensor's objectives
  • Leading the ASO (App Store Optimization) strategy, including keyword research, metadata optimization, creative asset development for app stores and optimizing app store pages performance and visibility to enhance discoverability and conversion rates
  • Coordinating marketing activities, including campaign planning, asset development, and approvals, to ensure timely execution, brand consistency, and alignment with marketing objectives
  • Assisting in devising a clear framework to measure the impact of marketing initiatives

 

Market Research and Data Analysis:

  • Conducting ongoing market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and player preferences
  • Performing competitive analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for the licensed IP game
  • Utilizing market insights to inform marketing strategies, product enhancements, and positioning decisions
  • Using customer insights to tailor marketing strategies, product features, and messaging to specific audience segments
  • Conducting post-mortem reviews to evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives and establishing key learnings and actionable insights


Brand Integration and Communication:

  • Serving as the central hub of communication between Marketing, Product, Community, and Customer Support teams
  • Fostering a deep understanding of the licensed IP's fanbase and communicating insights effectively across all departments
  • Identifying brand opportunities and leading brand collaboration initiatives in partnership with the licensor and the internal production team
  • Ensuring seamless integration of the licensed IP into the game's features, events, and promotions
  • Collaborating with the Player Experience team to ensure alignment with the licensed IP's brand identity and values across all community management and customer care activities/messaging
  • Acting as a brand ambassador, advocating for the licensed IP's identity and values throughout the product life cycle


Your background should include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field or an equivalent education gained through on the job training/experience
  • 3-4 years experience in Product Marketing within the gaming industry, preferably in mobile gaming
  • Deep understanding of mobile gaming audiences and trends
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and influence stakeholders
  • Analytical marketer who can translate data into actionable insights with proven results
  • Integrated marketing experience including owned, paid, and organic channels
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, startup-like environment with a high degree of autonomy and initiative

  • Experience with influencer marketing
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • A passion for social casual games
  • Familiarity with ASO best practices and tools
