Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security, incident response, and vulnerability management. You will be responsible for assessing security risks, developing and implementing security measures, and responding to security incidents to protect our digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Response:
    • Lead the incident response process, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
    • Investigate security breaches and provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
    • Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure timely resolution of security incidents.
    • Participate in regular Audits, Table tops and Purple Team exercises.
       
  • Vulnerability Management:
    • Perform regular vulnerability assessments.
    • Identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities in systems and applications.
    • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
       
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
    • Provide technical advice and support to other departments on security-related matters.
    • Conduct training sessions to educate staff on security best practices.
    • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on security assessments and incident responses.
    • Manage and maintain security tooling and infrastructure e.g Defender ATP, DLP, Security configuration management tools.

 

  • Cloud Security:
    • Evaluate and implement cloud security solutions to protect against breaches and data loss.
    • Conduct risk assessments and security audits for cloud environments.
    • Develop and maintain cloud security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on cloud security, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and various SaaS products.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
