The Global Senior Director of Marketing Sciences will lead the strategy, execution, and innovation of data-driven marketing measurement and analytics for Reddit advertisers. This role involves overseeing a global team that uses various analytics methods to drive advertiser performance and business growth. The ideal candidate will translate data into actionable strategies, optimize marketing performance, and communicate findings to senior executives. Key responsibilities include strategic and team leadership, stakeholder communication, GTM execution, measurement and attribution capability development, AI and predictive analytics implementation, data-driven decision-making, innovation and technology, industry thought leadership, and product validation and positioning. The role requires extensive experience in marketing analytics and the ability to build and scale marketing science functions.

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing analytics or related roles

This role is based out of either our New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Chicago offices.

The Global Senior Director of Marketing Sciences is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and innovation of data-driven marketing measurement and analytics for Reddit advertisers, large and small, including the agency ecosystem. This role will oversee a global team that uses lift testing and advanced marketing analytics, attribution modeling, media effectiveness research, and data science initiatives to drive advertiser performance, optimization, and business growth at Reddit. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader who has scaled measurement solutions for growth platforms; they have deep expertise in marketing analytics, AI-driven tools, and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies that enhance customer ROI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a global marketing sciences strategy that leverages data, analytics, and technology to optimize marketing performance, inspiring a team of ICs, Managers, and Directors to improve advertiser outcomes and amplify Reddit’s value proposition and narratives.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team of marketing scientists, analysts, researchers, and data engineers to foster a culture of analytical excellence.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Present complex analytical findings in a clear and compelling manner to senior executives and business leaders to drive strategic decision-making. Influence and inform cross-functional partners across product, pmm, sales, and marketing. 
  • GTM Execution: Scale measurement programs across advertiser segments (LCS, MM, SMB) with differentiated service levels and products/tools. Develop and realize go-to-market plans in concert with creative strategy and other relevant XFN sales overlay teams. Drive link between measurement and revenue to further evidence measurement as a key part of both Reddit and Advertiser/Agency strategy.
  • Measurement & Attribution Capability Development:  Partner with Reddit product teams and third-party measurement companies to build Reddit’s capabilities in advanced attribution models, incrementality testing, and media mix modeling to assess the effectiveness of marketing investments across digital and offline channels.
  • AI & Predictive Analytics: Implement AI-driven models, tools, and predictive analytics to improve and scale marketing effectiveness research.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, sales, and finance, to ensure data-driven insights inform business and marketing strategy. 
  • Innovation & Technology: Stay at the forefront of emerging analytics technologies, marketing measurement trends, and data privacy regulations to ensure the company remains a leader in data-driven marketing.
  • Industry Thought Leadership: Partner with Reddit Marketing and Comms teams to develop and execute an industry strategy, adding credibility to our ads products and Reddit measurement solutions.
  • Product Validation and positioning: Partner with Product, leveraging data analysis determine if Reddit’s ad products are achieving desired outcomes, through A/B testing. Leverage learnings to work closely with PMM on product positioning with Sales and advertisers. 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data science, or marketing measurement roles, with at least 7 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Expertise in digital media analytics, including programmatic advertising, social media, search, and streaming platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, AI/ML applications, and experimental design (A/B testing, lift studies, causal inference, etc.).
  • Experience managing teams who work daily in analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Proven ability to build and scale marketing science functions in a global, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
