This is what you will do as Cloud DevOps storage engineer:
In collaboration with the rest of the R&D IT teams:
Manage and administer storage systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and availability in the AWS cloud and on-premises.
Implement and maintain storage services & infrastructure.
Monitor storage capacity and performance, proactively addressing issues to ensure availability.
Collaborate with other IT teams to design, implement, and optimize storage solutions based on organizational needs.
Conduct regular data backups and implement disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical information.
Troubleshoot storage-related incidents and provide timely resolution to minimize business impact.
Implement security measures to protect stored data, including access controls and encryption.
Create and maintain documentation related to storage configurations, procedures, and policies.
Typically you:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
Experience as DevOps engineer with strong automation skills for storage technologies in the AWS cloud as well as on premises.
Minimum of five years of experience working as AWS cloud DevOps engineer with focus on storage technologies both on AWS cloud (Eg: S3, EBS, EFS, FSx flavors) as well as on premises (Eg: NetApp, Pure storage).
In-depth knowledge of storage technologies, protocols, and file systems (eg: NAS, SAN, NFS, CIFS, object storage).
Strong automation skills preferable using Ansible, Python as well as AWS CloudFormation.
Extensive experience working with the Linux OS and NFS storage in a high performance compute environment.
Certification with AWS would be plus.

Solution-oriented, hands-on, and no “9-to-5 mentality”. Customer-centric and no IT service provider mind set (SLAs, siloed).
Experienced as a DevOps engineer with IT infra as code (IaC), configuration management tools & CICD.
Experience with IT service management processes based on ITIL principles and in depth knowledge of tools like Service Now. ITIL process responsibility.
Has analytical and problem solving skills.
Quality mindset and strong stills in documenting process and keeping the documentation current and correct.
