Job Description

Sportskeeda's SK Pop division seeks a Pop Culture listicle writer to create engaging content for its Music, K-Pop, Movies, and Shows sections (US audience). Responsibilities include writing long-form content, researching, sourcing images, identifying trends, collaborating with the editorial team, receiving feedback, suggesting topics, and writing for the Food genre. The role requires a creative mindset, broad US Pop Culture knowledge, and excellent English writing skills. Journalism background is preferred.

The Opportunity

Role:Contract

The Sportskeeda entertainment division, SK Pop, is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join the team as Pop Culture listicle writer. As a writer, you will play a vital role in creating engaging content, contributing to its Music, K-Pop, Movies, and Shows section aimed at the US audience. You will also be required to collaborate with the manager to write for Food genre. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the entertainment industry and further develop your skills in content creation and digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Regularly writing long-form content
Research, format, and source images for articles.
Identify trending industry news via Google Trends and social media.
Receive and work on feedback from the editorial team
Communicate with the editorial team 
Suggest topics and keep up with the trends.

Requirements

Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
Broad knowledge of US Pop Culture.
Background in journalism preferred.
1-2 years of experience in digital journalism or mass communication.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent command of the English language.
Ability to write error-free articles.
