Job Description

As a Web Solutions Engineer III at Google's gTech Users and Products, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a chat platform and guidebooks for consumer-facing educational products. Responsibilities include creating test plans, writing technical documentation, applying agile methodologies, and building full-stack web software using Java, TypeScript, Angular, databases, and REST APIs. You'll work with Google-specific frameworks like OneStack or Boq, developing back-end services, data models, and front-end components. Must have:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
  • 4 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design.
  • Experience with back-end languages (e.g., Java, Python, or C++).
  • Experience with front-end languages (e.g., JavaScript or TypeScript).
  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience designing and optimizing databases.
  • 2 years of experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders on project requirements.
  • Experience with unit testing, agile software development, and bug and change management systems.
  • Experience designing and building maintainable Application programming interfaces (API), especially using Protocol Buffers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000-$176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Create test plans and unit test cases.
  • Write and review technical documents, including design, engineering docs, and collaborative code reviews.
  • Apply agile software techniques to manage delivery timelines and stakeholder expectations.
  • Build full-stack web software in Java, TypeScript, Angular, Databases and Representational State Transfer (REST) APIs using Google-specific frameworks such as OneStack or Boq. This includes back-end services, data models, and front-end components.
