Job Description

As a Software Engineer III, you'll implement and maintain highly reliable, large-scale computer systems for managing the lifecycle of millions of virtual machines within Google Cloud Platform. You'll participate in complex projects supporting Google's Tensor Processing Unit and Graphics Processing Unit fleet, collaborating with various stakeholders. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions. This role requires expertise in data structures, algorithms, Java programming, and software design, with a focus on building large-scale distributed and reliable systems. The ideal candidate possesses experience in delivering cloud-based products and a strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2+ years experience with data structures/algorithms and software development
2+ years Java programming experience
Experience in software design and debugging
Implement and maintain highly reliable, large scale systems

Good to have:

Experience building large-scale distributed and reliable systems
Experience delivering cloud-based products
Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis and Design

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with data structures/algorithms and software development in one or more programming languages.
2 years of experience with programming in Java.
Experience in software design and debugging.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in building large scale distributed systems and reliable systems.
Experience in delivering cloud based products.
Experience with Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain highly reliable, large scale computer systems. Participate in analysis and design of solutions for managing the orchestration and life cycle of millions of Virtual Machines.
Participate in complex projects and support Google's Tensor Processing Unit and Graphics Processing Unit. Fleet and work and integrate with many stakeholders from across the Google Cloud Platform stack.
