Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Titian Platform team, you'll work on next-generation technologies leveraging Generative AI in Google Cloud. Responsibilities include participating in design reviews, code reviews ensuring best practices, contributing to documentation, debugging and resolving system issues, and helping build a team. You'll contribute to existing Google Cloud Platform products and help incorporate Gen AI features. The role demands experience with software development (Go, Python, or Java), distributed systems, and a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms. Experience launching and maintaining software products is crucial.

Must have:

5+ years software development (Go, Python, Java)
3+ years distributed system design
5+ years testing, launching software
Experience with data structures/algorithms
Software design and architecture expertise

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in CS
Technical leadership experience
Cloud Computing familiarity (GCP)

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
5 years of experience with software development in Go, Python or Java programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience with distributed system design of infrastructure software.
Experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
Experience in a technical leadership role.
Familiarity with Cloud Computing platforms and concepts (GCP, etc.).

Responsibilities

Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Help build a team and cultivate innovation.
