  • A good eye for shape design, rhythm, and character appeal
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams

Are you passionate about crafting bold, memorable characters with expressive shapes and personality? We’re looking for talented Stylized Character Artists who excel at exaggeration, creative anatomy, and painterly detail to bring vibrant worlds to life. Whether you're just getting started or a seasoned pro, if your characters have soul—we want to see them.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and model stylized 3D characters with exaggerated proportions and expressive silhouettes, based on concept art and narrative themes.
  • Use tools like ZBrush, Maya/Blender, and Substance Painter to sculpt forms that emphasize character, gesture, and appeal—not strict realism.
  • Apply stylized or hand-painted texturing techniques, using non-PBR or simplified PBR workflows, to achieve painterly or illustrative surface detail.
  • Maintain a strong focus on silhouette, form language, and personality in every character you create.
  • Deliver clean, animation-ready topology and optimized UVs.
  • Work closely with concept artists, animators, and riggers to ensure designs translate well through the pipeline.
  • Take and implement feedback from Art Leads and Directors with professionalism and a collaborative spirit.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends in stylized character design, visual storytelling, and game art tools.

Requirements:

  • 1–5+ years of experience in game development, ideally with a focus on stylized character art.
  • A strong portfolio that shows creative interpretation of anatomy, with cartoony, anime, or painterly influences.
  • Solid sculpting skills in ZBrush or similar, with emphasis on silhouette, gesture, and expression.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in hand-painted or stylized texture creation using Substance Painter, Photoshop, or equivalent tools.
  • A good eye for shape design, rhythm, and character appeal.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
  • For senior candidates: at least one shipped stylized title or equivalent project experience.
