Are you passionate about creating a safe and fair gaming environment for all players? Do you have the skills and experience to analyze player behaviors and detect bad actors in online games? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

As a Security Analyst within the Battlefield Game Ops Positive Play team, you will be responsible for monitoring, investigating, and reporting on player behaviors and activities that violate the game's Terms of Service and Code of Conduct. You will use various tools and methods to identify and track cheaters, hackers, exploiters, griefers, and other disruptive players, and collaborate with the Positive Play lead and other EA to take appropriate actions against them. You will also provide feedback and suggestions to improve the game's security and anti-cheat systems, as well as educate the community on positive play initiatives and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze player behaviors and activities using data, metrics, and reports from various sources.
  • Investigate and verify reports of cheating, hacking, exploiting, griefing, and other violations of the game's Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.
  • Develop processes and systems to act on verified bad actors.
  • Document and escalate cases of confirmed bad actors to the appropriate teams for further action.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other teams within EA, such as Game Development, Legal, Customer Support, and Community Management, to ensure a consistent and effective approach to positive play enforcement.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the game's security and anti-cheat systems, as well as the policies and procedures for positive play enforcement.
  • Educate and inform the community on positive play initiatives and best practices, as well as the consequences of violating the game's rules.

Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in security analysis, fraud detection, or online gaming enforcement.
  • Familiarity with online gaming platforms, services, and technologies, such as EA Play, Steam, Xbox Live, PSN, etc.
  • Knowledge of common cheating, hacking, exploiting, and griefing methods and tools used in online games, as well as the countermeasures and solutions to prevent and detect them.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, querying, and reporting using tools such as PowerBI, Excel, Tableau, etc.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for gaming and positive play.
