Summary

The Associate Brand Trainee position at EA SPORTS FC, based in Cologne and Geneva, offers a comprehensive 18-24 month training program. You will support three teams in campaign execution, focusing on social and community engagement, localization of assets, media strategy, and content distribution. Responsibilities include managing relationships with clubs, creators, and partners; implementing consumer, media, and influencer activities; and handling media and influencer outreach. You will gain experience in integrated product marketing and communications, crisis management, and PR. The role involves independent project leadership alongside team collaboration and daily operational support.
Must have:
  • First experience in marketing/communications (ideally sports marketing)
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Able to work internationally

  • Knowledge of media and communication landscape
  • Digital consumer behavior experience
  • Basic image processing skills (Photoshop)

The Challenge Ahead:

Join our dynamic team , with members in Cologne and Geneva, working on the EA SPORTS FC franchise. Our responsibilities span diverse topics, collaborating with clubs, leagues, players, agencies, and the community on campaigns and activations.You will focus on social and community engagement, tailored to local players, communities, and influencers. In addition to supporting the team, you will also lead independent projects.

You will receive comprehensive training in integrated product marketing and communications, with access to a mentorship program, as your professional development is crucial to us. While marketing is your primary focus, you’ll have opportunities to explore other departments. The traineeship lasts 18 to 24 months.

What you will do:

  • Reporting to the Markets Marketing Manager, you will get insight in and support three local and international teams in their daily work with focus on campaign execution on EA SPORTS FC:

Brand Campaign

  • Align product conversations with brand voice and social media policies

  • Monitor and flag crises and trends.

  • Localize marketing assets.

  • Develop media strategy and manage content distribution, engagement, and reporting.

Partnerships

  • Manage relationships with clubs, content creators, and partners.

Integrated Communications

  • Implement and monitor consumer, media, and influencer activities.

  • Handle media and influencer outreach independently or with agencies.

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate with regional and international teams to maximize communication exposure.- Support the EA marketing team with daily operations and requests.

Skill Development

  • Learn marketing skills: press releases, communication strategies, crisis management, PR, and content creation.

What we're looking for:

  • First experience (e.g. through internship) in agencies or marketing / communication departments, ideally within sports marketing

  • Fluent level of both German and English

  • You are able to work in an international environment.

  • Positive and flexible personality

  • Experience with football and entertainment

  • Good knowledge of the media and communication landscape

  • Experience with consumer behavior on digital channels

  • You will have the ability to balance a variety of projects

  • Accurate and reliable handling of sensitive data

  • Basic knowledge of image processing (for example, Adobe Photoshop)
