Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Back-End Developer with a strong background in Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS deployment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements into the application, therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Back-End Services:
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code using Node.js.
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
• Database Management:
• Work with MongoDB to design, implement, and optimize database schemas.
• Perform database administration and management tasks.
• API Development:
• Develop robust RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality and third-party integrations.
• Ensure security and data protection measures are implemented.
• AWS Deployment and Management:
• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on AWS.
• Implement scalable and reliable AWS solutions.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Work closely with DevOps and other engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.
• Code Quality and Best Practices:
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain and improve code quality, organization, and automation.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Back-End Developer, preferably with Node.js and MongoDB.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Node.js and JavaScript.
• Strong experience with MongoDB and understanding of database design and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
