About the position
- The Business Development Manager will be involved in extensive interaction with clients and with organization team across units around the world. The role primarily involves spotting and developing business opportunities in existing accounts and/or prospect in Japan.
- It also involves operational responsibilities relating to revenue, receivable and client satisfaction.
- Ultimately, as BD, you will collaborate with our sales team to achieve sales targets while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and service in the long run.
Account Management:
Facilitate regular, timely and thorough communication with clients to maintain strong business relationships and identify projected production needs. Consists of:
- Follow up projects,
- Engaging with clients and liaise with production teams to facilitate production needs
- Assisting Virtuos teams in managing project development and planning
- Collaborating with Producers and Art Directors on a regular basis to meet client/studio’s requests
- Set and manage client’s expectations
- Communicating project plans with clients and provide feedback to Virtuos teams
- Facilitating calls/meetings between clients and Virtuos teams
- Managing and monitoring progress with contracts, agreements, invoices
- Leading initial calls with potential new clients
- Manage client feedback during and post project as a part of Virtuos internal improvement process
- Gain industry knowledge on clients’ upcoming titles and potential productions cycles in an effort to foresee potential needs.
- Establish trusted and long-standing relationships with clients in an effort to serve them better and more effectively
Operational responsibilities relating to revenue, receivable and client satisfaction. As BD, you will collaborate with our sales team to achieve quotas while keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and service in the long run.
Business Development:
- Do Business Development initiatives and strategies in Japan; including identifying new studios, products, and contacts, as well as gathering data and preparing reports;
- Assist global sales efforts in fulfilling production capacity gaps;
- Update Salesforce daily regarding clients and project activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in business and/or entertainment production,
- 5 years working experience in game industry.
- Passion for understanding the games industry and gamer,
- Native Japanese and fluent English,
- Strong interest in games production and in Sales,
- Self-motivated team player
- Ability to multi-task different timelines and deadlines,
- Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously,
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills,
- Excellent presentation,
- Diplomat and problem solver,
- Understanding of Salesforce is a bonus,
- Travel required time to time to visit clients, visit Virtuos’ studios and attend shows.
