Job Description

As a Certification Program Manager, you'll develop and maintain Google Cloud Certification exams. This includes collaborating with subject matter experts to create valid exams aligned with industry standards, enforcing program policies and test security, and improving certification processes. Responsibilities encompass managing the exam development lifecycle (blueprinting, item development, analysis, maintenance), leading job task analyses and training workshops, monitoring program policies and responding to inquiries, and monitoring industry best practices for continuous improvement. You'll ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices, leading workshops with highly-skilled technical subject matter experts, and continuously improving certification processes and offerings.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years program/project management experience
  • 3+ years experience writing and reviewing exam content
  • Experience facilitating group workshops
  • Manage exam development lifecycle
  • Lead job task analysis and workshops
Good to have:
  • Experience in IT certification
  • Conducting job-task analyses, item writing workshops, item reviews
  • Editing technical content
  • Experience with Cloud computing technologies
  • Developing performance-based testing solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

As a Certification Program Manager, you will be responsible for development and maintenance of the Google Cloud Certification exams. This includes working with groups of highly-skilled subject matter experts (SMEs) to create valid certification exams aligned to industry standards. You will play a key role in enforcing program policies and test security. You will have the ability to impact the quality and effectiveness of our certification offerings by applying industry best practices and innovating in the field of exam development.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage the exam development lifecycle, including blueprinting, item development, analysis, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Lead job task analysis, item development trainings, workshops, and technical reviews with highly-skilled technical subject matter experts (cloud architects, data engineers, developers).
  • Monitor and enforce program policies, including responding to applicants inquiries and exam security incidents.
  • Monitor industry innovations and best practices to continuously improve certification processes and offerings.
