Team Introduction Our team’s mission is to promote cutting-edge research in multimedia streaming, and to transfer technologies into our products for better serving billions of users. We are looking for talented students in the areas related to multimedia systems and networking, who have adequate research experience, a passion to shape the future of multimedia systems, and the potential to become an outstanding leader in the field. This Internship Program is for 12 weeks duration, with the Summer Internships beginning in May/June 2023, and the Fall Internships beginning in August/September 2023. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following internship cycles below: Summer Internship Cycle: 1. May 22, 2023 to August 11, 2023 2. May 30, 2023 to August 18, 2023 3. June 12, 2023 to September 1, 2023 Fall Internship Cycle: 1. August 14, 2023 to November 3, 2023 2. September 5, 2023 to November 24, 2023 We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date). Responsibilities: • Follow up on the state-of-art developed work in 3-D representation models, e.g. ShapeNets, VoxNet, Grasp-Net, Neural Radiance Field. • Design, develop creative algorithms for representation and compression of immersive video. • Draft technical contributions, patent applications, and academic papers

• Bachelors student in computer science/electrical engineering/mathematics/statistics and related disciplines • Strong Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, software design) and problem-solving skills • Experiences in neural network based 3D representation e.g. ShapeNets, VoxNet, Neural Radiance Field. • Good knowledge in video/image coding standards (JPEG2000/HEVC/VVC) • Familiar with Python, PyTorch • Collaborative mindset, with solid written and verbal communication skill • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
