As a Compliance Partner for Tesla in the UK and Ireland, you'll be responsible for operational compliance across key market areas. You will ensure internal processes adhere to UK and Irish regulations, developing expertise in credit broking, anti-money laundering, and identity verification. Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, preparing compliance reports and risk analyses, conducting audits, managing reporting for credit broking licenses, maintaining training courses, acting as the point of contact for enhanced customer due diligence, monitoring financial promotions, and identifying process improvements. You will need experience in a compliance-related role and a strong understanding of relevant consumer laws. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The role requires proficiency in MS Office and a commitment to fostering a culture of compliance.

What to Expect

As a Compliance Associate for UK and Ireland you will be responsible for operational compliance issues across a key market for Tesla. You will be an important part of the business as we scale up the number of Tesla vehicles on UK and Irish roads. You will ensure that the business’s internal processes are compliant with regulatory requirements of the market. You will develop an in-depth understanding of various processes across our Central Operations, Service, Sales and Delivery teams and regularly analyse their compliance with a variety of UK and Irish law and regulation.

What You’ll Do
Become a Subject Matter Expert and own the relevant policies in the following compliance areas: credit broking, anti-money laundering, identity verification.

  • Review, comment on, and help with negotiating commercial contracts from a compliance perspective  
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the key areas of the business and their internal processes.
  • Prepare monthly compliance reports and risk analysis.
  • Conduct regular compliance checks and quarterly risk audits, investigating any irregularities and non-compliance issues.
  • Own quarterly / annual reporting and activities related to our credit broking licence, including the organisation and coordination of senior management meetings in accordance with SMCR.
  • Maintain compliance related training courses, report on and maximise completion rates, promoting a culture of compliance.
  • Research and maintain expert knowledge on Compliance related regulations for the UK and Ireland.
  • Be the POC for enhanced customer due diligence and ensure sufficient documentation of all reported cases.
  • Monitor Tesla's financial promotions in accordance with FCA’s Financial Promotions regime.
  • Analyse our processes for compliance gaps and suggest improvements to minimise risks.
  • Advocating for a strong compliance culture and raising the profile of the compliance function

What You’ll Bring
  • Previous experience in a compliance-related role.
  • Understanding of relevant consumer laws beneficial.
  • High attention to detail and ability to analyse trends.
  • Great problem-solving skills, and strong ability to take initiative and be pro-active.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
  •  Experience in training groups, both in person and virtually.
  • Positivity, enthusiasm, and a passion towards the mission Of Tesla.
  • Confident in learning and adapting to multiple technologies.
  • Able to communicate, read, and write effectively in the English language on all levels.
  • Good knowledge Of MS Office.
