AECOM is seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes leading and managing projects, coordinating with stakeholders, developing schedules and budgets, overseeing site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, managing project teams, preparing progress reports, negotiating contracts, implementing quality control, adhering to environmental standards, collaborating with procurement, and mitigating risks. Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of construction management experience
  • Strong project management, scheduling, and budgeting skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in construction management software
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards
  • Ability to read construction drawings
Good to have:
  • Safety management certification (e.g., OSHA)
  • Experience with large-scale projects
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabian building codes

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Lead and manage construction projects, coordinating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
  • Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and local building codes
  • Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues or challenges that arise during construction
  • Manage and mentor construction team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, including clients and senior management
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability standards in all projects
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials and equipment efficiently
  • Analyze and mitigate potential risks to project success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and industry best practices
  • Expertise in project management, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites
  • Safety management certification (e.g., OSHA) preferred
  • Experience with large-scale construction projects is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia is a plus
  • Arabic language skills are beneficial but not required
