Job Description

The Data Analyst will be responsible for uncovering insights and providing data-driven recommendations to support key business decisions. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Machine Learning department, to understand business needs, analyze complex datasets, and deliver clear, actionable insights. The role involves designing dashboards, reports, and visualizations, performing in-depth data analysis, and contributing to the improvement of data processes. The analyst will also focus on ensuring data quality and documenting processes to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
Must have:
  • Strong SQL expertise for querying and data analysis.
  • Experience with BI tools to create dashboards and reports.
  • Familiarity with basic ETL processes and data cleaning.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services.
  • Basic Python skills for data manipulation and ML support.
  • Understanding of data quality standards.

The role


We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. This role focuses on uncovering insights and providing data-driven recommendations that support key business decisions.


As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including our Machine Learning department, to understand business needs, analyze complex datasets, and deliver clear, actionable insights. While your primary responsibility will be data analysis, familiarity with data engineering concepts and an understanding of machine learning workflows will be valuable as you collaborate with technical teams to support model development and deployment.


You’ll design and develop intuitive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions. Your role will also involve performing in-depth data analysis, identifying trends and patterns, and delivering recommendations that drive strategic initiatives. You will contribute to continuous improvement of data processes and structures that support analytics and machine learning initiatives.


Role responsibilities:


· Analyze, clean, and organize datasets to identify trends and deliver actionable insights that support the ML team and other stakeholders.

· Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, enabling self-service analytics for business teams.

· Transform complex datasets into clear, actionable visual insights, using best practices in data storytelling to support strategic initiatives.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into clear analyses and reports.

· Perform data wrangling and basic ETL tasks, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and ready for analysis.

· Utilize SQL (PostgreSQL, BigQuery SQL) and Python for querying, data manipulation, and ad-hoc analysis.

· Ensure data quality standards and document processes, maintaining well-organized datasets for analytical use.

· Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues to ensure consistent and timely delivery of data and reports.

· Stay informed about BI tool enhancements and data visualization best practices to continuously improve reporting and insights.

 

 

Key skills and experience:


· Strong expertise in SQL (PostgreSQL and BigQuery) for querying and data analysis.

· Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to create dashboards and reports.

· Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage. Familiarity with Compute Engine or Vertex AI Notebooks is a nice-to-have.

· Familiarity with basic ETL processes and data cleaning techniques to prepare datasets for analysis.

· Basic Python skills for data manipulation (using libraries like Pandas, NumPy) and supporting the ML team with data preparation.

· Understanding of data quality standards, with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

· Experience in documenting data processes and analysis to ensure knowledge sharing and reproducibility.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn new tools and methods to improve data analysis and visualization.
